There are some great blogs out there by a bunch of talented photographers. I read a bunch of them, but I know that I’m missing out on some great content that I haven’t yet discovered. Likewise, it’s probable that I’m reading some photography blogs that you don’t know about. I bet we’re both missing out on some great material and sources of inspiration.
Since social media is all about sharing, I had an idea: let’s share!
I’d like to create a giant list of photography blogs and make that list available for all. I’d like to have a bunch of readers send me the blogs they read (see below for how to do this), then I’ll consolidate, eliminate duplicates, and publish the list both on the site and as an OPML file that can be imported into feed readers.
How to Send Your File:
If you read blogs through web bookmarks, send me an exported file of those bookmarks. Go into the bookmark manager in Internet Explorer (they’re called Favorites), Firefox, or Safari, and export your list of bookmarks. If you want, edit the file so it only shows your photo sites, then e-mail me the resulting file.
If you use a feed reader, export your subscriptions. In Google Reader, this is done by going to Settings, then Import/Export, then clicking the “Export your subscriptions as an OPML file” link near the bottom. If you want, edit the file so it only shows your photo sites, then e-mail me the resulting file.
If you could send me those files in the next week, before September 23, I’ll work on the compilation and get them published near the end of the month. Let’s share our links and share some great resources.
