A Blog vs. a Post

by Aaron on August 11, 2009

Memo booksToday has been completely crazy so I don’t have a longer post, but here’s a quick terminology tip: A blog is a collection of posts. If you’re going to write an entry, you’ll say that you’re making a post. I often hear folks say things like “putting up a new blog today” or “wrote a blog every day this week” – you’ll sound like you know what you’re doing if you use the terms correctly.

I’d say it’s important if you want to sound informed. Does a journalist say “I wrote a newspaper” when they really mean they wrote an article? It’s certainly not the biggest issue in the world, but it never hurts to be accurate.
