Pressing Publish Means You’re Half Done
by Aaron on September 23, 2009
This past weekend, I attended WordCamp Portland, a conference on blogging and the WordPress platform. Founding developer Matt Mullenweg led a Q&A discussion with the audience, and one thing he said struck a chord with me and my view on blogging, comments, and conversation.
A couple of months ago, I said that if you’re blogging without comments, don’t. During Matt’s talk, at one point he noted that when he hits the “Publish” button a blog post, he considers that post half done. The other half is the conversation and comments that result. I agree 100%.
What do you think?
