I have been asked about what sorts of keywords to use on images, and the answer I always give is "if you were to search for this photo, what would you search on?" I have also found these individual keywords to be handy:

* City
* State
* Month
* Year
* Color

Because I find interesting sets of results on photos I took in Portland or Pendleton, Oregon or California, all photos from July, all photos mostly green... I also find that for archival purposes, finding everything from a particular year is tremendously handy.
