I’ve featured a few guest posts and I love doing so… it’s a great way to occasionally bring a fresh voice onto the blog and give someone some exposure to this audience.
I’d like to feature more guest posts. Here’s what you need to know:
What Topics Are Acceptable?
Anything that would be of interest to an audience of photographers looking to use social and new media. It might be about gear, technique, blogging, a new web service, or some other marketing tip. There’s no minimum length, but articles on this site generally run 200-600 words. More is usually okay.
Guidelines
- The post must be original content that hasn’t previously been published elsewhere on the internet.
- You may submit a couple-sentence bio which will display above your post.
- You may submit one URL and one Twitter handle which will be linked and displayed with the post.
- The anchor text for your links will be the title of the site being linked… SEO keyword-stuffing is not allowed.
- You agree not to publish the post elsewhere on the internet after it has run on Social Photo Talk.
How to Submit
Before writing the full post, send an email to aaron@hockleyphoto.com with your post idea. I’ll write back and let you know if I’m interested in the post or if I have any suggestions. Once you get my approval, you can write the full post and I’ll give you information on how to wrap everything up.
I’d love to help you share your ideas… let me know if you’d like to post here as a guest!
