  • Totally agree! Meeting some of the people I've met online has been just like meeting old friends, not meeting for the first time. And in other cases, social media serves as a great pre-introduction - I can walk up to someone at an event and say "Hi, I'm Kathleen, we've met on Twitter" (or on their blog, or in the forum, whatever).
