Do You Have a Moment?

by Aaron on August 2, 2009

A moment of reflectionGroup photo walks and events can be fun. While Scott Kelby’s recent WorldWide Photo Walk aimed to capture a bunch of images on the same day, another venture wants to cut that time slice down to a single moment.

The Worldwide Moment project aims to celebrate peace by photographers around the globe taking photographs simultaneously and sharing the results. The moment is on Tuesday September 8th or Wednesday September 9th depending on your time zone. I’m on the west coast of the United States, so it’ll be a 5:09 PM shot for me.

It’s an interesting idea. The website states the photos will be displayed online and then also in an exhibition and potentially a book. I’d recommend that photographers check out the licensing details once they’re released, but it sounds like a fun project if you’re curious to see how a bit of your work might be part of a large global project.
