Cheap Photography Things on Amazon

by Aaron on August 25, 2009

Recently my wife was making a small order from Amazon and she needed $1.87 to meet the $25 free shipping minimum. I wondered… what interesting photography or social media things might be acquired for cheap on Amazon? Here’s a few ideas:

4gb Compact Flash or SD Cards:

Who couldn’t use more storage? I like a 4gb card since it’ll hold a couple hundred RAW images, but I’m not putting all of my images onto one card (and thus lessening the likelihood of losing all of my images due to a card failure):

LED Flashlight:

An LED flashlight provides a great lighting source for impromptu photos. A small one will fit in your pocket or any pouch of your camera bag.

Gaffer’s Tape:

No real explanation needed.

Rechargeable AA Batteries:

For your flash, your flashlight, and all of your random electronic accessories.

What did I miss? What are some great cheap photo-related deals on Amazon?

    Good idea for a post!

If you buy a decent amount of things from Amazon it totally makes sense to get the Prime membership. You can share in within one household (both myself and my husband use ours). On most items you'll get free two day shipping no matter the cost of the item. You can also use it to send gifts…which is great if you're running out of time.

The danger tho is that you feel tempted to buy more. We know our UPS guy really well. >.<

I/we keep going back and forth on whether we should get Amazon Prime. We don't order a ton from Amazon and usually we just get the free ground shipping, but I could see where it could cut down on some trips to the store and the convenience might be nice.
